5 tips to maximize value with the right learning concept
1. Find out what learners know, feel and do
Most learning and development managers are happy with just knowing how many learners completed a training course and how they rated the experience. But a learning program can deliver far more insights. A smart learning concept can include analytics that show the learners’ challenges, opportunities, and ideas for improvements. Digital learning can use the collective brainpower of your organization to see opportunities for growth that otherwise would remain hidden. The right learning concept gives you an opportunity to understand more about your learners’ reality.
2. Reduce time spent on training
Can an instructor-led training of 2 days be shortened to 4 hours? In our experience, yes! A good learning design with clear instructions, timings and explanations helps people stay focused and saves a lot of time. In a learning concept you can also integrate interactive exercises such as notes, post-its, votes and task lists which run much faster than the physical equivalent.
3. Take out the facilitator
Save time and money on instructors or facilitators by creating a learning concept that trusts people to take ownership of the learning journey. You can always add a spot or two for a Q&A with an expert if you think it’s needed.
4. Close the gap between learning and action
Create an on-demand learning concept that supports people as they do their actual work by explaining the why, what and how. Make sure to encourage people to discuss and share knowledge and experience with each other. Strengthen the culture by bringing people together!
5. Use AI to answer a wide variety of detailed questions
We can’t include answers to every single question in a digital learning solution. But a learning concept can integrate an AI, like ChatGPT, and phrase the right questions to get the answers the learner needs.
